Abstract
Transthoracic vagotomy was performed in 47 patients with anastomotic ulceration. Ulcer healing was achieved in all cases, and no recurrence was observed during an observation up to 10 years. Neither mortality nor major morbidity occurred. Considering the risk of alternative transabdominal procedures thoracic vagotomy as a rule seems to be the most appropriate therapy of anastomotic ulceration at present.Entities:
