Expanding the role of social workers in coordination of health services.

The lack of connection between the two approaches to coordination--the structural approach and the case coordination approach--has hampered efforts to coordinate health care services. This article discusses the bases for integrating the two approaches and presents guidelines for expanding the role of social workers in coordination.
