Abstract
The anatomic structure of the peripheral nerve trunks is briefly reviewed. The nerve fibers are divided into myelinated and non-myelinated fibers and in the limbs they are composed of motor, sensory, and sympathetic fibers. On functional grounds the fibers are considered either efferent or afferent. The general scheme of vascular supply to the nerve fibers is described.Mesh:
