Abstract
A case of pneumocephalus complicating posterior fossa surgery in the sitting position is presented. Rapid diagnosis was obtained by computerised tomography. This condition should be suspected whenever a patient demonstrates delayed recovery or neurological deficit after craniotomy and nitrous oxide anaesthesia.
