Abstract
Geotrichum flavo-brunneum Miller, Giddens et Foster shows both basidiomycetous (viz. the presence of urease and the high % G + C of DNA) and ascomycetous (viz, the carbohydrate composition) affinities. The study of the cell-wall ultrastructure, the hyphal branching and the Diazonium Blue B colouration points to a relationship with anamorphs of Ascomycetes.Entities:
