Abstract
A method for the specific identification of strongyle eggs in small samples of sheep faeces based on dimensional and biological characteristics is described. More than 90 per cent of the eggs of Ostertagia spp and of Trichostrongylus vitrinus can be positively identified. For other species supporting information from larval cultures may be needed but this need will vary according to the composition of the sample.Entities:
