Abstract
The hypothesis that travel precipitates acute ischaemic heart disease (IHD) was tested in a case-control study of holidaymakers admitted to hospital in Great Yarmouth. The distance that patients with IHD had travelled to reach Great Yarmouth was on average greater than that travelled by patients with other diseases. I conclude that the greater distances travelled by patients with IHD may have helped to precipitate the attack.Entities:
