Abstract

The elaboration of alimentary conditioned reflexes and neurotization procedure as two different functional effects activate in rats different reaction systems in response to a standard stress stimulus ("open field"): the first intensifies motor-search reactions (components of orienting-investigating behaviour), the second -- enhances neuromediator and vegetative responses (components of biologically negative state). The intensity of these functional effects varies within the population: animals have been singled out, selectively reactive to the first effect (group I), selectively reactive to the second effect (group II), and relatively unreactive to both influences (group III). Initially, these animal groups demonstrated, respectively, high, medium and low ability to develop the avoidance reflex towards painful stimulation of another animal (according to P. V. Simonov).
