Abstract
A polysaccharide fraction from Lampteromyces japonicus contained a sugar (4%), which was identified as 3-O-methyl galactose by demethylation with boron trichloride, periodate oxidation of the methyl glycoside derivative and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry of the alditol acetate derivative.Entities:
