Abstract
The sustained release of antibiotics from bone cement provides an opportunity for the induction of hypersensitivity. We evaluated the cellular and humoral immune responsiveness of guinea pigs to antibiotics diffusing from bone cement. We were unable to detect the presence of antibodies or skin hypersensitivity to any of the antibiotics tested.Entities:
