Abstract
A case of myoglobinuric renal failure associated with viral rhabdomyolysis is described. Clinical signs of muscle involvement were lacking, but peculiar biochemical abnormalities suggested the diagnosis which was established by renal biopsy. The management required brief supportive hemodialysis, and the patient recovered. The diagnosis of myoglobinuria should be considered when acute renal failure develop subsequently to the onset of viral infection.Entities:
