Abstract
A gas-liquid chromatographic (GLC) method is described for the determination of the captan metabolite tetrahydrophthalimide in human urine. The sample is extracted with chloroform and cleaned up on a Florisil column. The extract is then analyzed by GLC, using a nitrogen-phosphorus-selective detector. Recoveries from urine samples fortified at 0.03-0.5 ppm ranged from 82 to 87%, and were qualitatively confirmed by GLC-mass spectrometry.Entities:
