Abstract
A patient with herniation of the cecum through the foramen of Winslow is described. Herniation through the foramen of Winslow is among the rarest of hernias. Preoperative diagnosis is unusual but is possible for the astute clinician who, on abdominal x-ray, notices air in the lesser sac with displacement of the stomach anteriorly and to the left. Treatment, of course, is prompt surgical intervention with reduction of the hernia and resection of any nonviable bowel.Entities:
