Investigation of geographic patterns of cancer mortality in China.

For this report, I examined the geographic patterns of cancer mortality in China as a whole, using the findings of the 1975 National Mortality Survey by Cause. For several cancers, striking differences in mortality are found between single counties or clustering county groups in adjacent areas. The findings of this first examination should be useful for the planning of research studies and preventive programs.
