Abstract
Extensive eyelid neoplasms sometimes necessitate total excision of the lid. Similar situations can be found in post-traumatic injuries. The lower lid is the more frequent site of malignancy. A convenient method of total lower lid replacement is the use of a medial pedicle rotation flap of the cheek. Because of the firmer consistency of this cheek flap a tarsal plate replacement is not required as in other methods. Inner lining of the flap is accomplished by mobilization of conjunctiva of the lower fornix. The technique of the operation and its results are described.Entities:
