Abstract
Secondary repair of 324 flexor tendon injuries in the critical area was undertaken using a two-stage tenoplasty with a pedicle graft. This operation was combined with the Hunter procedure using a silicone rod in 39 repairs in fingers which were stiff and extensively scarred. Compared with a similar series of injuries in the first group, use of the rod improved the percentage of very good results form 13.8% to 47.8% in the scarred fingers, but the results in stiff fingers remained poor.Entities:
