Abstract
The lesson of Hiroshima is reviewed briefly, the illusions that foster our current preparations for nuclear war are considered, and the psychological effects--personal and political--of our stockpiling of nuclear weapons are examined. It is suggested that, although the situation is desperate, hope may be found in the beginnings of a public awareness that is fostering the movement against nuclear armaments.Mesh:
