Abstract
An analysis was made of the situation of the aged woman, above 55 years of age, in the GDR, on the basis of sociogynaecological studies into 1,500 women. The studies were undertaken by means of semistandardised questionnaires and interviews. They included medical, psychological, familial, occupational, and social aspects. A comparison between the situation of aged women in socialist countries and that in capitalist countries has cast light at the gap between the two systems and illustrated the advantages of socialism.Entities:
