[Physiologic chest movements in the fetus].

A Jakobovits.

Abstract

Foetal respiratory movement is reported in this paper, on the basis of dynamic, real-time ultrasound tests. The percentual possibility to watch thoracic movement was found to grow along with foetal maturation and gestational age. Absence of respiratory movement might signal a harmless rest phase or danger.
