[Metastatic mesothelioma of the pericardium].

Primary malignant tumors of the pericardium are very rare. The case of a diffuse metastatic mesothelioma of the pericardium with recurrent pericardial and pleural effusions is reported. The case history, clinical course and the problems concerning the precise diagnosis in a 51-year-old female are described.
