Abstract
Twenty-five patients suffering from osteoarthritis (O.A.) of the hip or knee were treated with nabumetone (1 g at night) or naproxen (250 mg b.i.d.) during 4 weeks starting either with nabumetone (twelve patients) or with naproxen (thirteen patients). The results of the study were subjected to a statistical analysis which showed good efficacy for both drugs. Tolerance was better with nabumetone than with naproxen. Nabumetone (1 g at night) appeared, thus, to be a good and very well tolerated anti-inflammatory drug in the treatment of osteoarthritis.Entities:
