Abstract
Mathematical models of capillary blood flow are described consisting of axisymmetric particles in cylindrical tubes. The blood cells are modelled by elastic sphere, rigid red blood cells and normal flexible red blood cells. The results show that the deformability of red blood cells is important in reducing the apparent viscosity in capillary blood flow.Mesh:
