Abstract
The natural history of aneurysm surgery is briefly reviewed and an assessment made of the place of surgical, radiological and physical advances in the management of aneurysms over the past twenty years. Over this time, there has been a steady reduction in management mortality, particularly associated with the introduction of the operating microscope, and with an increased understanding of the pathophysiology of ischaemic brain.Entities:
