Hydrostatic pressure within renal cysts.

Abstract

Hydrostatic pressure was measured within 10 single renal cysts during surgical exploration. The pressure ranged from 12.5 to 31.0 cm of water (average 22 cm). It seems that the persistently elevated hydrostatic pressure within renal cysts could be associated with their expansion.
