Abstract
Ocular pneumoplethysmography and ophthalmodynamometry measure ophthalmic arterial system pressures to assess noninvasively the hemodynamics of the carotid system. A previously unreported circumstance in which these tests complement one another is central retinal artery occlusion. Typically, the ipsilateral retinal artery pressure, measured by ophthalmodynamometry, is greatly decreased or is zero, whereas the ophthalmic systolic pressure, measured by ocular pneumoplethysmography, is normal.Entities:
