An unusual case of flexion injury of the cervical spine.

L M Levy.

Abstract

An atypical case of flexion injury to the cervical cord is presented and discussed. Flexion injuries in general are reviewed, concentrating on the mechanism of injury and the pathological changes seen in such cases. To further illustrate the pathological changes that may occur, specimens from 5 patients with fatal acute flexion lesions are shown.
