The interpersonal relationship between parents and caregivers in day care settings.

D R Powell.

Abstract

A structured interview measuring communicative behaviors and attitudes was used to determine the nature of parent-caregiver relationships. While frequent parent-caregiver communication was found, the data suggest minimal attempts to coordinate day care children's socialization processes. Implications for day care practice, policies, and research are discussed.
