Abstract
Results are presented from a brief study of the behaviour of captive snubnosed monkeys, Rhinopithecus roxellanae. Chief points are that facial colouring and nasal development mimic the colour and form of the genitalia, and that limb proportions, sexual dimorphism, perineal colouring, and behaviour reflect a tendency towards terrestrialism convergent with cercopithecines such as baboons and macaques. Limb proportions, pelage length and tactile behaviour represent cold-weather adaptations.Entities:
