Vitrectomy and Wagner's vitreoretinal degeneration.

G C Brown, W S Tasman.

Abstract

A 14-year-old boy, an 11-year-old girl, and a 3-year-old girl with Wagner's vitreoretinal degeneration had multiple retinal detachments. Surgical repair by means of conventional scleral buckling and encircling techniques was unsuccessful. However, after vitrectomy, their retinas remained flat.
