Abstract
An 81-year-old black woman with severe rheumatoid arthritis presented with an enlarging black lesion on the medial sclera of the left eye. Scleromalacia perforans was suspected. At surgical exploration, a deeply pigmented tumor was encountered, with extension into the orbit, along the medial rectus muscle. Biopsy revealed a benign melanocytoma.Entities:
