Surgical criteria for correcting the overlapping fifth toe.

Abstract

Overlapping fifth toe, which is a varus deformity, usually occurs bilaterally and is a common familial deformity. It may be mild or severe and symptomatic or asymptomatic. The author discusses eight patients with overlapping varus deformity of the fifth toe and the various surgical procedures that may be used for correction.
