Abstract
The (+) isomer of ketamine was approximately 3 and 1.5 times as potent as the (-) isomer in reducing excitation of rat and cat Renshaw cells by N-methylaspartate (NMA) and acetylcholine (ACh) respectively. The potency ratio of the two isomers of ketamine as NMA antagonists was similar to that obtained in anaesthetic and analgesic tests [16, 19, 25].Entities:
