Abstract
A review of the literature reveals that most chronic subdural empyemas occur within four to six months of the initial insult. It appears that only 1 case of a chronic subdural empyema, which occurred four years after extensive facial trauma, has been described. Our patient developed chronic subdural empyema thirteen years after drainage of a subdural hematoma. Current treatment modalities are reviewed.Entities:
