Loss of plasmids during enrichment for Escherichia coli.

W E Hill, C L Carlisle.

Abstract

Enrichment with sodium lauryl sulfate and incubation at 44.5 degrees C resulted in a loss of plasmids and decreased efficiency in the recovery of pathogenic. Escherichia coli strains from foods.
