Abstract
1. The effect of a single dose of guanfacine 1.0 mg intravenously on glucose metabolism was compared with placebo. Six men participated in the cross-over study. 2. An oral glucose tolerance test was performed 90 min after the administration of the medicaments. Guanfacine had no effect on blood glucose, insulin or the 'Insulinogenic index'.Entities:
