Myelination around multiple axons in the peripheral nerve. An unusual ultrastructural observation.

V P Shetty, N H Antia.

Abstract

Electron micrographs have been presented, demonstrating myelin ation around multiple axons. This is an exception from the normal 1:1 relationship of axon to Schwann cell in a myelinated peripheral nerve fibre.
