Trichuris campanula infection in a domestic cat from Miami, Florida.

Abstract

Based upon measurements and morphologic character, whipworms recovered from a Miami, Florida, cat were identified as Trichuris campanula. Experimental infections in cats indicated that the prepatent period was approximately 62 days.
