Abstract
Inflammations of the nose and paranasal sinuses in children are quite different from those occurring in adults, and are due to anatomical, immunological and physiological causes. Special attention is given to the diagnosis and management of so-called "recurrent" rhino-sinusitis of childhood, which can also be caused by certain syndromes such as cystic fibrosis, Kartagener's Syndrome and Non-motile Cilia Syndrome. Clinical examples of these disturbances of nasal secretion are discussed as are disturbances of the immune system (such as the Bruton-type of agammaglobulinemia).Entities:
