Abstract
Two groups of patients (with endocarditis and with atrioventricular shunt infections due to Staphylococcus epidermidis) are presented together with analysis of the causative agents by bio- and phage-typing. Additionally phagocytic function of polymorphonuclear leukocytes of selected patients was investigated but no decreased phagocytic function was found. A possible way of treatment is discussed.Entities:
