Binaural interaction and localization with various hearing impairments.

H S Colburn.

Abstract

Binaural interaction and localization abilities of hearing-impaired listeners are summarized separately for each of several types of hearing and neurological disorders. The dependence of binaural abilities on the nature of the impairment is emphasized. Unfortunately, available data are not sufficient to characterize the specific aspects of the stimulus information available in each type of impairment.
