Abstract
The mesiodens is the most common supernumerary tooth. It can be found in both the erupted and the impacted states. A case of a developing mesiodens located entirely in soft tissue is described. The lesion presented as a pedunculated palatal mass. No case of soft-tissue mesiodens has been previously reported. A theory of origin for this supernumerary tooth is proposed.Mesh:
