The management of the occipito-posterior position: a prospective study of 145 cases in 1979.

A M Rutherford.

Abstract

This is a prospective study of 145 patients whose fetuses presented in the posterior position. Only 31 percent of these delivered spontaneously. Nine were delivered by caesarean section. The remainder were delivered by forceps or ventouse extraction. The management of the posterior presentation is discussed.
