[The spectrum of histocompatibility antigens (HLA) in Wegener's granulomatosis (author's transl)].

Abstract

HLA-typing in 14 of 25 patients with histologically proven Wegener's granulomatosis showed a significantly increased frequency of HLA B7 and B8. No striking relation was found between the clinical course and the occurrence of HLA B7. The increased association between the HLA B7 antigen and Wegener's granulomatosis might be of diagnostic value.
