Abstract
The diuretic drug amiloride has been used to select variants from the dog kidney cell line MDCK which are partially resistant to killing by the drug. Evidence is presented suggesting that resistance to killing by amiloride is conferred by decreased uptake of amiloride, which reduces the intracellular drug concentration below the toxic level.Entities:
