Early treatment of cranio-facial deformities.

The authors describe the surgical technique employed and results obtained in cases of early treatment of cranio-facial deformities. They demonstrate the necessity of early freeing of the fronto-ethmoidal and fronto-sphenoidal sutures at the base of the skull, in view of the fact that these sutures together with the coronal sutures are responsible for the orbital-facial involvement. With the technique of early treatment, which has the objective of achieving an advancement and decompression of the fronto-orbital block, excellent results are obtained in most cases.
