Abstract
A total of 543 random samples of blood collected from unrelated male blood donors of Amman, Jordan, were analysed for ABO and Rh(D) blood groups, serum haptoglobin, transferrin and albumin; glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase, lactate dehydrogenase; and haemoglobin phenotypes. The results of the study establish the Arab characteristics of the population with no or minimal presence of African genes.Entities:
