Abstract
A case reported in which a man intravenously injected himself with a hydrocarbon insecticide. The radiographic findings and clinical course were typical for hydrocarbon pneumonia. Symptoms developed almost immediately and radiographic findings cleared within 72 hours. Because the hydrocarbon was introduced intravenously, the role of aspiration in the development of hydrocarbon pneumonitis is obviated.Entities:
