Abstract
The frequency of germinated and fused primary teeth was studied in a sample of 1141 Finnish children aged 3-4 years. The prevalence was 0.7%. All the joined teeth were found in the anterior area of the mouth. In seven cases the diagnosis was a fusion of two separate teeth, and in one case it was a germination of a single tooth. A correlation between joined teeth in primary dentition and numerical variations of teeth in permanent dentition was noted in three cases.Entities:
