The resistant dentine shell of teeth suffering from idiopathic external resorption.

H B Yaacob.

Abstract

Histological examination of 18 erupted and eight unerupted teeth with idiopathic external resorption demonstrated that the pulp remained protected by a thin layer of dentine approximately 23--308 micrometers wide. There was no significant difference between erupted and unerupted teeth.
