Bile peritonitis secondary to perforation of the gallbladder. A review of the Dunedin experience 1955--1979.

Abstract

A retrospective study analysing patients admitted to the two Dunedin hospitals between 1955 and 1979 revealed five cases of bile peritonitis secondary to perforation of the gallbladder. All patients were treated surgically and recovered. The literature is briefly reviewed.
